Celestial Movement – Program Note

This piece is for two marimbas. It was inspired by the painting " The Starry Night" of Vencent van Gogh. It utilizes musical motifs to create transformation such as transposition, modulation, and extension, in order to describe the boundless expanse of the starry sky and its movement.
