Program Notes
This saxophone quartet expresses a metaphor that life
is like a circle. A starting point is also an ending point. Every
step leads to a new start. Together, the individual starting
points form the trajectories of life. Motivated by this, the
composer creates this piece in a style of Minimalism, pursuing
a simplest form and color. The circle implies that we should
not be afraid of the start, nor of the the end. Each ending is
also a new beginning.

此曲為薩克斯風四重奏, 人生如圓,
既是起點也是終點。每走一步, 都是一個新的起點, 這一個個的起點
便形成人生的軌跡, 作曲者有感於此, 以極簡主義(Minimalism)的風格
創作此樂曲, 追求最簡單的形式或色彩, 來暗喻我們不要害怕開始也不要
畏懼結束, 所有的結局都是新的開端。
