Program Notes

This piece is a concertino for string quartet and piano. It was inspired by the tune of Yilan in Taiwan. The piece with it's persistent ostinato, cross rhythm and varitations on simple melodic fragments to expressing the joyful mood by train. The tempo is livly and exuberant. This piece was commissioned by 2023 AIPAF (Asian International Piano Academy & Festival) in South Korea. This piece has been premiered by the pianist Soo Jung Park and Younhee Min (1st Vln), Ewchang Hwang (2nd Vin), Sokho Jany (Vla) and Ui Han Hwang (Cello) at Ewon Culture Institute in South Korea on July 21,2023.

丟丟銅隨想曲

此曲為鋼琴五重奏, 靈感來自台灣宜蘭調"丟丟銅仔", 曲中的頑固低音, 貫穿節奏及旋律的變奏來表現火車的行駛及過山洞等情景。 此曲為節奏輕快, 富有生氣勃勃的歡樂情緒。此曲為2023AIPAF委託創作並在2023年7月21日首演於南韓梨花文化學所。
