inspired by a Hakka folk song, the Tea-Picking Song, and based on its melodic fragments as a motif.
The music primarily depicts the busy scene of tea farmers during the tea-picking season.
The piece begins with a rapid sequence of sixteenth notes played by the strings,
introducing the tea farmers preparing for their activities. During the tea-picking process, there is singing and laughter,
boosting morale and alleviating fatigue. Finally, the music transitions into a cheerful and bright rhythm, entering
a joyful atmosphere of celebrating the tea harvest." This piece was commissioned by the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra in 2020.
